Collaboration in current development projects, e.g. series of formulation and application tests, analytics (AAS, GC, HPLC, FT-IR, Polarography, REM/EDX a.o.) and practical tests (above all corrosion tests) as well as literature search and documentation.

Actual project priorities are the development of new modules of our recyclable cleaning systems, amine-free corrosion protection, and the development of new processes for zinc plating.

You'll work in small and rather young teams.

Conditions

Our trainees are payed 480 EUR/month; working hours are weekly 37.5 h as fixed in the tariff rule. The presence must be agreed upon with the responsible persons, besides this, we have flexible working hours. Within a half year, a trainee acquires a vacation entitlement of 15 days, which can be taken within this time or also in the link. We are closing between Christmas and New Year, so approx. 3–4 days of holiday are omitted for this obligatorily.

SurTec is located in Zwingenberg, a small wine town south of Frankfurt and Darmstadt. Via train, it takes less than 30 min from Darmstadt to Zwingenberg; from the station it's a 5 min walk. Appartments can be found either in Zwingenberg itself or in Darmstadt (a town with students, which would probably be more interesting for you). We can support you in finding a flat or a room.

In general: An easy and open working climate with occasionally lots of stress, but in addition, high degree of freedom.
