Stainless Steel – Pretreatment

Degreasers, solid and liquid, emulsifying and demulsifying

SurTec 027
Product Info, MSDS
Acidic, liquid and silicate free degreasing agent, applied by immersion. Good emulsifying properties, weak in attack and low foaming, SurTec 027 shows best results of cleaning quality.
SurTec 117
Product Info, MSDS
Powdery, silicate free, demulsifying mildly alkline cleaner for aluminium and stainless steel , especially suitable in combination with an oil separator.

Pickles, electrolytic and chemical for Steel and Stainless Steel

SurTec 431
Product Info, MSDS
Acidic electrolytical pickling, specially developed for the de-scaling of stainless steels before electropolishing. The fluoride free composition of the acids is matched to the electrolyte system SurTec 459. So the electropolishing process can be applied in titan racks immediately without intermediate rinsing. There is no danger of embrittlement due to the optimum anodic operation conditions of the pickling.
SurTec 432
Product Info, MSDS, MSDS A
Multi-purpose acidic pickling product with reliable and lasting cleaning properties, based on nitric acid and hydrogen fluoride. Able to pickle all stainless steal alloys and titan with a proper result.
SurTec 433
Product Info, MSDS, MSDS A, MSDS N
Acidic, nitric acid free stainless steel pickling, to remove alle tarnish and scale layers from stainless steel surfaces in a single step. It can be used up to an iron content of 120 g/l and is characterised by very long service lives.

Stainless Steel – Electropolishing

SurTec 459
Product Info, MSDS, MSDS A, MSDS CV, MSDS N
With the chromium free electrolyte system very good polishing results are achievable even with a long bath life time. High-grade surface finish, e.g. with regard to gloss expressivity - is possible. The very wide range of materials able to be electropolished comprises austenitic, martensites and ferrites in the known range of 210 materials.
SurTec 459 U
Product Info, MSDS
With the conversion elctrolyte, a partial exchange of approx. 25 % of the bath volume can be made - economically justifiable during a desludging process - in order to „convert“ to the electrolyte system SurTec 459.

Cleaning Assistant after Electropolishing of Stainless Steel

SurTec 542
Product Info, MSDS
The post-dipping solution provides the best possible passivated, clean and also streaking-free surface after the final rinse and ensures the resulting passivity after electropolishing.

Stainless Steel – Passivation

SurTec 572
Product Info, MSDS
Citric acid containing and nitric acid free passivation for ferritic stainless steels. Depending on the alloy, ferrite-free, passive surfaces are obtained after a treatment time of approx. 5–30 minutes.
SurTec 573
Product Info, MSDS
Nitric acid containing passivation to be used after stainless-steel pickling in order to obtain a passive, ferrite-free surface after a treatment time of approx. 30 minutes.

Stainless Steel – Waste Water Treatment

SurTec 920
Product Info, MSDS
Highly efficient flocculation agent for waste water based on polyacrylamide arising during a metal finishing process, scales up the size of flocs and this improves the depositon of solids. A complete sedimentation of suspended particles up to fine-grained particles can be obtained.
SurTec 921
Product Info, MSDS
Flocculation agent used for the “precipitation” of heavy metals. The dissolved heavy metals are converted into water-insoluble chelate. In combination with a flocculation agent (e. g. SurTec 920) the waste water regulations can be observed strictly.
