Conventional Layers |
Black layers with cathodic corrosion protection are up to now nearly exclusively prepared with toxic hexavalent chromium. |
New: SurTec 695 |
The Black Chromiting SurTec 695 however is a completey chromium(VI)-free trivalent passivation for zinc/iron with good corrosion protection. The values until base metal corrosion are as high as with customary hexavalent layers. In contrary to those, Black Chromiting is without any brownish or greenish tinge and can be adjusted to a bright or a matte finish. A grey variation with excellent heat resistance is used as a basecoat for thin black lacquers. |
