SurTec 618 LT

SurTec’s newly developed processes in the field of zinc phosphating offer customers significant added value both in process stability and in reducing energy and wastewater costs.

Degreasing 
The SurTec 168 LT degreasing process has been on the market since the end of 2018 and has been used very successfully before zinc phosphating. In combination with the surfactant SurTec 086, significantly longer service lives with a simultaneous temperature reduction of 5 - 10°C are possible.

Activation 
SurTec's new liquid activation creates a very thin and fine crystalline layer on the components. Compared to the conventional system based on titanium compounds, the service life of the SurTec process is longer. In addition, the painted components show excellent paint adhesion and flexibility with regard to subsequent forming.

Phosphating 
A further reduction of the bath temperature by 5 - 10°C is made possible with the SurTec 618 LT phosphating process. The SurTec system thus enables further savings potential and at the same time increases process stability, since crusting of the heat exchangers is significantly minimised.

Post-Treatment 
The new post-treatment based on zirconium + organics offers a further positive effect in terms of paint adhesion and significantly improves corrosion protection on aluminum parts.
