Anti-Friction Coatings for Elastomeric Applications

Good adhesion and compatibility with the elastomeric material is an important selection criterion for Anti-Friction Coatings. Correct pretreatment of the components is crucial. The SurTec Anti-Friction Coatings for seals (e.g. O-rings, door seal) and elastomers increase wear resistance and extend the life of these materials. They also improve the optical and tactile properties of visible components, reduce noise and facilitate assembly. A UV additive is included in almost all lubricating coatings to make the coating visible under UV light and to check whether the component has been homogeneously coated. The Anti-Friction Coatings can also be colored in order to be able to implement any required Poka Yoke during assembly. In addition, dry lubrication must be resistant to elongation of at least 150 percent.
