“Many of the challenges our customers face today — from regulatory requirements and process stability to increasing demands for design flexibility — have been part of our focus for years,” explains Benjamin Diener, Head of Sales at SurTec Deutschland GmbH. “SurTec continuously develops its proven, field-tested technologies to create sustainable, long-term solutions. At SurfaceTechnology GERMANY, we will demonstrate how established processes from Functional Coatings as well as functional and decorative electroplating can be integrated into comprehensive system solutions from a single source.”
In the field of Functional Coatings, SurTec will showcase solutions for locking, sealing, assembly and disassembly of screws and other fasteners. Products from the globally established precote® range provide reliable, process-safe functional coatings for a wide variety of industrial applications.
The portfolio is complemented by modern Anti-Friction Coatings for metals, plastics and elastomers. These enable defined friction coefficients, reduce wear and contribute to improved assembly performance and component functionality. As a result, Functional Coatings make a significant contribution to extending component service life and ensuring process reliability in industrial manufacturing.
Another focus of the exhibition appearance is functional electroplating. For decades, SurTec has been offering coordinated processes, such as the extremely stable Zn/Ni process SurTec 717, featuring an exceptionally high deposition rate. The electrolyte can be operated either conventionally or as a membrane process using SurTec technologies and MCA membrane anodes, ensuring consistently high performance over many years.
As the inventors of the first Cr(VI)-free passivation, SurTec 680, SurTec provides the right passivation for all electrolytes and applications, along with tailor-made sealers. These solutions elevate corrosion protection and functional performance – such as dry lubrication – to a new level.
SurTec will also present modern trivalent chromium processes in the field of decorative electroplating, opening up new design possibilities. Starting with refined satin finishes, these processes enable high-quality, uniform surfaces with a contemporary appearance.
SurTec 851 stands for semi-gloss, non-reflective nickel surfaces with exceptional uniformity. In addition, the portfolio of trivalent chromium coatings offers a wide color spectrum ranging from light to dark tones. With SurTec 883 XT, SurTec achieved for the first time in 2017 reliably identical color values compared to classic hexavalent chromium processes.
The colored electrolytes SurTec 881 ACL, SurTec 886 and SurTec 888 enable warm to neutral dark shades. This allows the creation of high-quality decorative surfaces that combine design freedom with modern, future-ready process technology.
At booth 22, the SurTec experts will be available throughout SurfaceTechnology GERMANY 2026 to answer questions and engage in discussions.
