Bensheim, 23.05.2019. SurTec, the specialist for surface technology takes over "EnGra
Chemie". The company, led by owner Claudia Huchon, is specialized in chemical
deburring and has been successfully operating in this market for more than 20 years.

With effect of May 1st, 2019 SurTec takes over the product line of „EnGra Chemie”.
EnGra Chemie has been active in the field of chemical deburring for more than two
decades. With the takeover of the company, a cooperation that has existed for several
years has been contractually consolidated. Further research and product sale is
transferred to SurTec. "We expect disproportionate market growth and are confident
that we are excellently positioned with Ms. Huchons products and expertise", says Dr.
Karsten Grünke, CEO of the SurTec Group. "We are pleased to welcome Ms. Huchon to
the SurTec family", Grünke continues. Claudia Huchon is equally delighted: "Being part
of the SurTec team is a great pleasure for me. Together we will continue to expand
the field of chemical deburring and continue our experience."

Chemical deburring offers many advantages over other deburring processes. The
chemical process for removing burrs and particles is particularly advantageous when
components have a complicated geometry and in areas which are difficult to access
mechanically. Burrs, splinters and other particles appear during the machining of
metallic workpieces. For example, during milling or turning processes. For the further
processing of the workpiece burrs can lead to significant damage and can even cause
a failure of entire units. For this reason, deburring is an important step in the process

With the expansion of the Industrial Parts Cleaning business unit to include chemical
deburring processes, SurTec will be exhibiting at the DeburringExpo 2019 for the first
time. The leading trade fair for deburring technologies and precision surfaces will take
place from October 8 to 10, 2019 at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Center, Germany.
